A janitor is a type of employee you can hire to work in your store.

They help you by emptying trash bins and cleaning litter from the floor. They are more effective when you use trash bins.

You can use the bin coverage overlay in build mode (see image) to see where you need to add more trash cans to make your janitors work better. Customers can litter on all tiles that are not green in that overlay.
Janitors need to have a dumpster to dump their waste periodically.

Each time they level up, they clean 20% faster and walk 10% faster (level 5: 80% faster cleaning, 40% faster walking).
